THE REAL INCANTO IS PUGLIA
Forget Tuscany, the real charm is Puglia, word of "Daily Mail".
Saturday 10 February, the online version of the famous British newspaper "Daily Mail", dedicated an article to Puglia, its history, its beauties and its way of life.
The article, inserted in the "Travels" section of the newspaper, recounts his experience in the Tacco d'Italia, starting from "Borgo Egnazia" in Savelletri, and then visiting Ostuni, Lecce and Cisternino.
The words of the English newspaper, as well as to praise the wonders of Puglia focus on the differences between our region and Tuscany, always one of the favorite places by the British to buy a second home or to spend holidays in the Belpaese. Now it seems that Puglia is undermining the region of central Italy in the heart of the subjects of Elizabeth II, enticed by the convenience in the purchase of real estate. In Puglia, explains the article, "you can buy a villa with pool with the money you would buy a closet for brooms near Florence".
Economic convenience is a theme that often recurs. The newspaper does not skimp words of praise towards Ostuni, "a splendid white city built on top of a hill". Spending an evening in the White City would forget the little things that still make our tourist accommodation different from the Tuscan, as "the not always sophisticated and sophisticated ways of the people, the beaches that lack some services and the countryside landscape always equal to himself".
On the other hand, there are restaurants where you can dine with quality food and artfully cooked, spending 30 euros, while with the "same figure in Tuscany you would pay only the starter". The article continues telling the trip to Lecce, "the Florence of the South" and Cisternino, which ends with the inevitable dinner in one of the typical bracerie in the historic center, tasting the famous 'bombette'. Puglia is the place where it is enough to ask the chef to give vent to his imagination, knowing that you will still have enough euro to go home by taxi ".
In short, as the title of the article reads: "The heel of Italy is the real deal! Forget Tuscany, the real charm is Puglia ". Word of "Daily Mail".
